Work without Batteries
Our package contains 2 AAA batteries, but this remote can be also used as a common remote shutter cord without batteries. In this case, it cannot set the timer for time lapse photography.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
1. How long is the cord on this intervalometer?
----The cord is 35.43 inches / 90cm long.
2. I need 50 pictures, the exposure time for each picture is 10s, and the interval time between each picture is 5s, how set?
----(Camera in Bulb mode) Set the [BU] to 10s and [INT] to 15s, then set the [N] to 50 and press the [Start] button.
Why the [INT] needs to be set 15s instead of 5s as you wanted the interval to be 5s, as in the default programs of this remote, the interval time includes the exposure time. So the 15s of [INT] minus the 10s of [BU] results in 5s real interval time between each picture.
3. Does it work without batteries as a normal remote trigger?
----Yes, it also works without battery as a normal remote shutter release cord, just half press the shutter button for auto focus, completely press the shutter button for shutter release, slide up the shutter button for bulb lock. But without battery, you cannot set the timer for time lapse photography.
4. Can I set the interval to daily?
----No, it does not have an independent time of day clock and can not set to daily, but can set from 1 second to 99 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds.
5. Can I set the bulb time longer than interval time?
----No, the interval time must longer than bulb time, because the interval time contains bulb time.
6. Can this be used to control video?
----No, it can not control the video
7. Can this remote zoom the camera lens?
----No, it can not control lens zoom.
8. Can I change my camera setting once I started a time lapse?
----Yes, you can still change the camera setting. If the camera is on the exposure status, do not change the camera setting as this will cause shake on the camera and will affect the photo quality, advise you to change the camera setting when the camera is not on shutter exposure status, such on interval time status.
9. Will this work for a 10 day long time lapse of mushroom growth?
----No, the longest time can set is 99 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds.
10. Why won¡¯t mine keep settings stored? I set it. Then turn it off the back on and settings are at 0 again.
----This is normal, as this intervalometer does not have memory function, once you turn it off, you need to reset the timer.
