Why does my camera say "Lens not attached" or unrecognized ?
This is a full manual focus lens, no electric contacts, your camera will not detect the lens when mounted, pls switch camera to M mode to work.
-
Why I can't press the shutter button when lens mounted ?
Normally switch your camera to M mode will solve this issue, for some cameras, you need to turn off the shutter lock option in menu.
-
Why does my picture out of focus and very blurry ?
Pls rotate the focus ring on the front body of the lens until the subject is in focus , and focus with live-view to achieve accurate focus. Recommend use with a tripod and remote to keep image stable avoid blurry.
-
Why my picture become dark or white?
The photo is too bright because it is overexposed, in this case you need to lower the ISO and increase the shutter speed. If the photo is too dark because it is underexposed, you need to increase the ISO and decrease the shutter speed.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 14, 2025Verified PurchaseVery surprised with the product! It’s sturdy, easy to setup and use. Can’t wait to use it more in the near future. The first thing I did when I got it was to take a picture of the moon. I find it very good for the price!
I used it more since and took nice birds pictures using it! :)

- Reviewed in Canada on June 16, 2022Verified PurchaseThe lens is entirely manual. It is hard to get focus right, and most of the time, I just couldn't get the picture I want, but I still recommend it. I got it because I love taking pictures of wild birds, and they do not let me approach. The focus is hard to get, and the picture quality is not good (I recommend adjusting your light meter a little darker, -1 or -2, than precisely in the middle,0). The lens gets bleached when adjusted in the proper light meter. So taking a darker picture, you can get more information to correct it on photoshop or lightroom. For all the images I got, I had to correct the colour (vibration) in photoshop or lightroom. I am fully aware that a good lens with this configuration would cost me at least a thousand dollars, so let's be realistic here that it does a great job for the price. You have to learn how to focus manually. All these pictures were taken with the lens and without a tripod. I lean against something to give me stability and also hold my breath. It would help if you also used your ISO to get faster-shot speed. It is working well for me, and being honest. I am getting better and better at manually focusing the pictures now. I strongly recommend it for those who want to have some fun and practice manually focusing. Observation: The lens already comes with tripod support in the middle, so you do not need to worry about buying a ring to fit it on the tripod.

- Reviewed in Canada on September 5, 2024Verified PurchaseWhat a great lens it is clear and powerful. zooms very well. I was really impressed with the quality for such a good price. This lens is worth it. The pictures came out great. They even sent instructions on how to use manual mode and change the shutter speed on your camera. That was above and beyond great service of them. This is a manual lens. There are no electrical connections. You must adjust the zoom and focus yourself and then you must adjust the exposure on the camera yourself. It is an easy process and jintu Made the process even easier. This product is very well-made. I recommend this lens and would buy it again.
- Reviewed in Canada on October 28, 2022Verified PurchaseThis item looks great but it came with the wrong T mount so I had to place another order for it which will not get to me till mid Nov./Dec.
So I have this lens that I can not try or use till the new T mount arrives
I really hope it will be what I was looking for from this lens .
That is the only reason I rated it so low at this time.
- Reviewed in Canada on December 12, 2023Verified PurchaseMy expectations weren't high when I bought this thing but I was quite amazed after receiving it and using it with my Canon T3 camera. I used it for taking photos of the Moon and for that purpose it's suited by needs very well until I could afford to upgrade to a dedicated Optical tube assembly for that purpose. If you know how to manually focus the lens then this is the perfect budget lens to achieve the level of Zoom that other lenses will charge you $500 to $1,000 for it.
- Reviewed in Canada on November 20, 2024Verified PurchaseI compared cropping a picture using a canon lense to using this lense and I got a better image by cropping a picture taken using the canon 70-250mm lense.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 22, 2024Verified PurchaseI initially was not able to get lens to fit camera, but with more determination, i got it to fit. It works great!!!
- Reviewed in Canada on September 25, 2021Verified PurchaseI was a little concerned when I got the package, the actual lens box came with two crushed corners but I tested it and seems to be working fine.
It fits my Canon Rebel T7i without problems, the camera is set to M and no additional settings are required so far.
It is amusing how the Chinese products are marketed, the description in the box says, "PROFESSIONAL HD Lens", "Platinum Series High Definition", for $157, tax incl. is far from being a professional lens.
But it works! the initial prep requires to adjust the ring for the tripod quick release plate to ensure the camera is level, see pics, first the Philips screw needs to be loosen and then the thumbscrew, use a #0 screwdriver, when the plate is levelled tighten the screw first, it is aluminum, don't over-tighten.
The lens accept 67mm accessories, the squirrel picture was taken at about 25m with the lens set at 420mm, the camera/lens combo is 1.193kg, but a Timer/Shutter Release Remote Control is a must (widely available at 鶹); the white flower picture was taken trough a window with screen, still pretty good I think, I just need to re- learn to use manual lenses.
I have to continue testing it at different light conditions. I'll keep updating this review.
Conclusion: I think, so far, I made a good purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty darned good for what it is and how much it costs
Verified PurchaseI paid $65 for this lens with a coupon from the product page, and I must say, it surpassed my expectations. I shoot occasional backyard birds for fun and used it on a Canon T4i body to take the attached shots. Shot in RAW format at 800mm, f/16, /1250 sec, ISO 1250, and cleaned up minimally in Lightroom Classic afterwards. Also attached is the same scene taken at 300mm with another camera. All three pics have not been cropped, they are dimension-wise as they came out of the camera.
One thing that surprised me is how granular the focusing is. It shifts focus VERY gradually, which I guess is required for proper focusing at the 800mm end. The lens mates with the camera solidly and there's no wriggle.
For me it's a keeper, it's a fun little lens to have in my bag to whip out for those occasions when the reach comes in handy (backyard bird watching, full moon, etc.). Don't pixel-peep and zoom in at 100% or greater to see all the flaws--they are there! Just enjoy it for what it provides at such low cost.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely Worth It
Verified PurchaseBefore and after editing pictured.
I bought a cheaper lens because I typically only shoot daytime and wanted to try some basic astrophotography. Boy, this was a good investment. This thing is a chromatic aberration machine, however defringing is easy (when on a computer).
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is because it’s probably not beginner friendly if you wanted to shoot in JPEG. I would only shoot in raw using this to make sure when correcting the chromatic aberrations that it doesn’t look wonky. And it still might, somewhat but for what it costs and the result you can get from it, you can’t really beat it.
You definitely need a tripod to shoot with this unless you just have an unnervingly steady hand.
For my Canon R model friends, get an adapter mount. This fits an EF mount so I bought an adapter that fits onto my canon eos R50 and mounts the EF lens onto it, works like a charm.
For those of you that don’t know why it’s not taking photos automatically, look to the release shutter without lens setting. Sometimes the camera won’t communicate with the lens, especially with an adapter so this will allow you to release the shutter!
Overall: Great lens for the cost, I wouldn’t shoot anything fast moving inside with this, you may get away with some animals but you will need a tripod/monopod since the image stabilization is nonexistent. This is a lens you need to correct for in post, so shoot in raw and bring it into camera raw or Lightroom to defringe it. Good luck!

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent, but...
Verified PurchaseFor the price it's a great lens, especially if you know what you're doing with all the settings. Once I got things in focus, the obligatory pictures of the moon came out pretty good (image attached is on full auto with manual focus).
That being said, I'm very disappointed in the tripod mount. I had set everything up, and had the lens mounted on the tripod. It was nicely balanced with the camera at that point. However, when I used the tripod arm to adjust the camera to point up higher to actually get the moon the weight from the camera caused the tripod mount to break. I'm grateful that I was able to catch the camera.
With the busted mount, the lens is now fairly useless outside of a "throw it in the trunk for random art shots on a road trip" kind of lens.
