Product description

After dying, coming back, taking Manhattan and dying again, Jason Voorhees is now back as a body snatcher in Jason Goes to Hell.

After dying, coming back, taking Manhattan and dying again, Jason Voorhees is now back as a body snatcher in Jason Goes to Hell, an impossibly fun slice of campy supernatural slasher action!

Jason Voorhees is finally dead! Or is he? After being blown to smithereens in a sting operation, the infamous killer's body is taken to the morgue in Youngstown, Ohio. But Jason can't be killed so easily, and his still-beating heart possesses the body of the coroner performing his autopsy. The now body-hopping Jason begins hacking and slashing his way back to his stomping ground of Crystal Lake, where his last living relatives, Diana, her daughter Jessica and her newborn baby Stephanie still reside. Only by them can he be truly killed, and only through them can he be reborn, and Jason is determined to return to full power. Can the last remaining Voorheeses survive long enough to finally send Jason to hell for good?

Featuring fan favourite Kane Hodder as Jason and spectacular special effects by industry legends Howard Berger, Robert Kurtzman and Greg Nicotero of KNB EFX Group, Jason Goes to Hell is a madcap entry in one of the most lasting and entertaining franchises of all time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing 4K transfer

This review does not speak to the quality of the movie itself, but rather of how this 30-year-old movie looks and sounds in 2025. This 4K transfer is fantastic. The HDR make this movie look like it was shot last week. The sound is punchy and goes loud. As a 4K movie collector, I was seriously surprised how well this transfer came out. It's better picture quality then half the stuff that came out this year.
As for the movie itself, this one really is for hardcore fans of the series or genre, as it is one of, if not THE worst in the franchise.

4.0 out of 5 stars Arrow physical media
Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2025

Love Arrow special editions, but hope they go to the criterion model of dedicating one disc to just the movie utilizing max space to get the best use of UHD. Include all extras on a second disc with Blu Ray version. Newer movies may not need all that space, but when doing a legit restoration of a classic film like Flatliners/Dune they could have looked even better. Just putting a film on a 4k disc doesn’t make it look better. That said a movie like this looks fine and the extras they are including are great! I’m an Arrow fan and glad physical media is being kept alive by Arrow/Shout/Criterion in the US unlike Disney and Netflix that are focused on putting everything on streaming so we pay every month. It’s also great to see a company like Arrow giving us a US releases and not just focused on the UK! The shipping on top of the price from places like Titans of Cult (they have some of the best films & special editions), so thank you Arrow and keep getting licensing to great movies and physical collectors will support you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Jason's most divisive film in 4K...
Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2025

Solid transfer, considering the age (definitely looks better than Jason X) and we appreciated the fact both the theatrical and unrated cuts are included here. The film itself is more a take on The Hidden than a traditional Jason movie - So this rating is for the disc only - Not the actual movie itself. If you like the film; the slipcover has cool artwork and the sleeve inside is reversible. Special features, while not abundant, are serviceable. We mainly purchased this for the picture upgrade.
