These pencils are better in person than they are in photos...I was surprised when I got them to find they are metalic shiny and sparkly. I have three birthdays coming up all for friends who are artists of some sort or other...so I will tape thes pencils to the fronts of their gift boxes as some extra little decor presents...my BD is coming up as well so I think I will keep one for myself! They are quite pleasing.

The designs are printed directly onto the pencil rather than the pencil just being wrapped in a colorful plastic sleeve, so these ones don't jam up the sharpener.
