    I bought a second one and overall, newer plier is 1/4” longer and crimp tooth seems to be sharper and steeper than original one. I have a GB crimper on my mechanics cart that I don’t use often and it isn’t nearly the same quality or delivers the same crimping power vs the Irwin. The Irwin is specifically for electronics. So now I have left the GB in the trash bin and the new plier taking its place.

    There are no other crimper out there that can make such a solid crimp like this plier crimper for this type of work. Love em and indeed will last a very long time.

    Check out the quality crimp shown. You have 50/50 saying don’t crimp on the slit but my logic is if you do, both slits bite into the copper and holds better. Maybe I’ll do a test one day. Cheers.
