Very very very happy with my purchase!
3 things I like (Efficiency, lightweight and to be able to install it alone) Efficiency : In the past, when nights were going down to 10 degrees, my pool temperature was going down by 8 to 10 degrees. With this cover, the pool temperature is only going down by 2 or 3 degrees. Lightweight : Very easy to transport it alone anywhere if necessary. Can install it alone very quickly : In the night, it takes me approximately 45 seconds to install it on the pool. Also, in the morning, it takes me another 45 seconds to roll it and attach it on the side. Final words: 45 seconds in the morning and 45 seconds in the night in order to keep my pool water hot, I'm very very very satisfied! I highly recommend!

    I’ve used this for almost a full season on an above ground pool with a deck. We fold both ends into the middle so there are 4 layers then accordion it up to take the folded blanket off the pool. Taking it off and putting it on involves dragging it over the edge of the pool casing. It seems to be holding up to the friction and there is no damage.

    Saved a boat load. Even if this only lasts 2 seasons I’m ahead of the game and I’ll buy new ones earlier if I have to.

    My pool is a 15 foot round 48 inch deep free standing metal frame one. We installed a solar heating system and it would warm the pool by 2-3 degrees during the day depending on how sunny and warm the day is. The pool came with a black coloured thin cover you use a pull string to keep in place. This cover required two, better three people to put on. This cover sinks because of drainage holes and it always had a pool of water on top. During heavy rain it would sometimes be 6 inches deep in the middle. The pool typically lost 2-3 degrees C overnight when nighttime temperatures went to 10C with the black cover. I suspect the pool of water on top was constantly evaporating and I think that contributed substantially to the heat loss. The new solar cover floats on the surface and covers the pool. It is really easy to put in and spread because it floats on top. One person can do it. We first tried using the solar cover alone. We found the pool still typically lost 2-3 degrees C overnight so used by itself, the solar cover doesn't do much. (I took off one star for that.) Another problem is it blew off in a heavy thunderstorm and ended up in a pile wrapped around a tree. We then tried putting the black cover overtop the floating solar cover. We have found two benefits to using the new solar cover under the black cover. The black cover floats easily on top of the solar cover. This means one person can now put the black cover on over the floating solar cover (though still better with two and you have to flick the black cover and pull the solar cover) and there is no pool of water on top. Most important, with the black and solar cover on together, the pool lost only 1C overnight in two nights where temperatures went down to 8C. This means our solar heater can finally heat faster than the pool cools overnight. The solar cover floats and holds up the black cover so it doesn't sink. The black cover keeps the solar cover in place. We had a heavy rainstorm with both covers on, the covers stayed in place and didn't blow off and no floating rain water on top. I hope some smart person is going to come up with a combination of tie down black cover and a floating solar cover and we will buy that. Meantime this combination works. The picture of the whole pool shows how the black cover floats on top of the solar cover. The second picture shows how the solar cover floats below the black cover. So it was worth the money.

    Very pleased with this solar cover. Arrived in a reasonable quality zipper plastic bag which I used during the four months the swimming pool was in use and is now used to store the cover until next season. The cover worked remarkably well. We are in Anglesey, North Wales and for four months the cover achieved temperatures of 18 to 24 C on the pool thermometer during May until August this year. We tended to keep the cover on the pool except when we chose to swim. It was easy to fold on the surface with two people, one on each side of the pool. I removed it roughly once a fortnight, laid it on the lawn and hosed and scrubbed it with a firm brush and then hung rinced and dried it before laying it back on the pool. I have to say that compared to previous years with the original Bestways cover, the Intex Solar Cover was well worth the cost. Because it is laid on the surface of the pool and does not hang over the rim of the pool frame it is possible for leaves and bugs to drop into the water gap around the edge of the pool, but this is tolerable.

    I have had my 15' pro steel pool for 6 years and have always found these solar covers excellent. They float on top of the water keeping leaves/bugs etc out of the pool.
    With the cover on, the sun does heat the top 6" or so of the pool and after 'swishing' it around, the overall temp of the pool does increase.
    The recent excellent weather has meant the pool has been used daily. The cover is easy to remove and very easy to put back on after use. The seller dispatched very quickly. Very satisfied.
