I really wanted to love this insulated food jar because the size is great and it comes with a spoon and inner bowl that make packing lunch easy. It does a decent job keeping my soup warm for several hours, and the leakproof seal gives me peace of mind when tossing it in my bag. The stainless steel build feels sturdy too. That said, it doesn't keep food piping hot for as long as I hoped and the lid can be a bit tricky to twist off when it's really warm. Still good for short trips or early lunches.

This is a very nice insulated container, but may not be suitable for all needs.
Pros:
* It's wide mouth makes it easy to fill, access food, and clean
* There are no valves or air pockets that will collect water and grow mould.
* The silicone seal is heavy duty and is easy to remove for cleaning and replace.
* The handle is very handy ;), the lid is easy to open, and it does not leak.
* The container is perfect for my needs, delivering hot food to a hospital room.

Cons:
* The top bowl is a nice option to separate foods such as sauces and rice, but you cannot use the thermos without it. The bowl must be in place for the lid to seal properly. Anything transported in the bowl will be steamed, so don't expect to keep crackers etc crispy. Having said that, even with the top bowl empty, the thermos holds a generous 3 cups (750 ml), and the bowl would be a suitable container to eat from.
* The lid contains a "spoon" which is shaped more like a paddle. It would work for some foods, but definitely not soup.
* Even with preheating this container first using boiling water, I would not trust it to keep foods hot from breakfast to lunch. It works wonderfully for a few hours, keeping the contents steaming hot, but longer than that is debatable.

Holds a lot of food. Keeps "warm" for approximately 6hrs. Only flaw is the locking mechanism.
It's easy to carry. Keeps food warm (not hot) for hours.
But I can see over time, the locking hinge giving out and then it will not be useable.
I was surprised at how much this held. For reference, 2 cans of beans can fit in this easily.
The bad thing, is the little bowl that comes inside. If you fill it up close to top, and put the bowl part in, the bottom of the bowl is sitting in food. Also, the little white lid on top, screws open and a foldable spoon is in there. size of a baby spoon, so it would take an adult forever to eat anything with it.
Overall, it is easy to carry (I wish the handle went down), but too many flaws to make this long lasting.
