The instructions say to store with storage solution, but there is none included. It says you can use the buffers, which are used normally for calibration, as storage solution, but they give a very very small amount of it.
Calibration is difficult due to hardly having any calibration fluids. Also you have to use a container that is very narrow, like a test tube, in order to submerge the meter enough for calibration with the tiny amount of fluid provided. It doesn't come with said container. I just happened to have one from a previous PH testing kit.
2 point calibration is made difficult even more so, by having the device tell you to use the 7PH buffer, then when it switches to telling you to use the 4PH buffer, it turns off if you don't put it in the 4PH buffer within a very short amount of time, very little time to switch over which fluid is in the 1 container I owned that would submerge the meter in the very small amount of fluid provided. Only 2 packs of each, so you can really only calibrate 1 or 2 times. Not much considering you have to save some of the calibration fluid to use it as storage fluid. No way to close the pouches to save some properly. Just have to hope it stays good.
I assume it's accurate. To be clear, I am unhappy about this product due to the storage solution issue.

Used for indoor hydroponic gardening. The Hanna is great built quality and accuracy. A little pricey, but worth the money. I was going through cheap "imported" meters every month or two months due to cheap quality. . Been using a Hanna for almost a year old now and it still works perfectly.
5.0 out of 5 starsI love Hannah products they’re always on point

I don’t really know what else to say other than I really like this company they make a lot of their sensors and products in Europe and they’re well calibrated when they come their professional product. It’s a great idea if you’re a hobby who wants more accurate sensors.
4.0 out of 5 starsIts still just a throw away consumable

In my opinion there is no great solution to the problem this tackles... No matter what you buy when it comes to ph pens the electrode part is a consumable. If you let it dry out it has to be replaced. If you take great care of it you still have to replace it about once a year depending on the solution your dealing with. I may be back in the future but the next time I have to replace the electrode I will be testing out one of the cheaper solutions. I couldn't even find the replacement on amazon... so ya i will be down grading to see what kind of mileage I get from one of the ones that cost less than the replacement electrodes.
