We have digital locks on most of our doors so that everyone in the house doesn't have to carry keys with them, especially the kids. However, I'm always concerned that at some point the digital lock will fail to work. So, I ordered this key lock box as a backup safety in the event that the digital locks fail. This key lock box feels sturdy and durable. Since installing the key box it has performed exactly as expected and hoped for. The key box is weatherproof and while I haven't used it through a winter it has held up through the heat and fall weather conditions. To be on the safe side and to extend the lifespan of the key box I have the key box installed in a sheltered area where it is protected from the worst of the elements. Setting up the combination was simple and straightforward, instructions were provided. The size of the key box is compact but has a generous capacity, it easily holds at least a few keys.. The RUOEZA key lock box is a very good value for the price.

    I got this for my enclosed trailer. Instead of picking it up at the local hardware store I decided to get one through amazon. I didn’t realize this wasn’t a full sized box when ordering. The exterior dimensions are 75mmx95mmx37mm (width x length x depth), while the internal dimensions are 54mmx72mx27mm. You lose some of that on the upper part of the internal area due the combination lock mechanism. Aside from my mistake regarding the size, It was easy to setup with a quick button push to lock in the loop and the flip of a switch to set your combination. There is no protective cover for the combination lock dials so hopefully those hold up over time with being exposed to the elements. The combination door has slight openings at the top left and right corner so I don’t think it will be fully weatherproof. The loop fits nicely inside the box when not in use for easy storage. In comparison to the one I have from my local hardware store, this doesn’t seem as weatherproof and is much smaller, however the bigger hardware store version is 2-3 times more expensive.

It’s very easy to set up and change the code, the loop on top is removable (lever on the inside) and the overall construction seems pretty solid. The locking mechanism is essentially this little metallic tab that locks into place with the four-number combination. While you can’t easily break into it by hand, I don’t feel it’s the most secure lockbox ever and I could see someone get into it easily with tools so I’m not sure I would recommend this if you are safegating anything important or not planning on hiding it somewhere.

    I got this lock box to store keys for our homeowners association. Rather than buying combination locks and having to change the combos each time our list of authorized persons changes, we buy key locks, store the keys in the lockbox and only have to change one combination.

    Pros: I was impressed by how sturdy the box is and how smoothly the door opens and the controls operate. It's easy to change the combination. I love the fact that the entire hasp can be removed for mounting once the door is unlocked. There's plenty of room to store keys. I only have one in it so far but estimate that it'll hold 10-15 keys with plastic ID tags on each.

    Cons: I don't see any rubber gasket around the door. It's the dry season in Florida so I'll have to wait until May or June to see if it keeps water out. There's no way to hang keys in an orderly fashion inside the box; you just stuff them in.
