    The remote works as advertised. Connects to camera in seconds. The preview is nice and fluid even though it's over a BT connection (I think). The swipe interface is a bit lacking, since the display is small. All in all the device is good. My problem (and hence the 4 star) is with the accessories. The charging "dock" requires you to remove the remote from the silicon bands (even though the bands have cutouts for the connection). Could have been done better.

    As it stands you have to remove the housing (either wrist watch or handle bar) before you can charge the remote. The other gripe is with the silicon wrist watch housing......I'm literally on the last notch. The strap is really short. This is made for kids or someone with a slender wrist.

    All in all it works and is nice. Just a couple of things to be aware of before you pull the trigger.

    I purchased this product to go with my Insta360 Ace Pro. When I went to use it, it would not turn on or accept a charge.
    I contacted Insta360 for warranty. It has been a week and half, many emails back and forth with disappointing resolution. After many "fill out the forms" (once is not enough) "supply invoice" (again) and "video" they want me to ship this unit to Hong Kong. Shipping is $ 50.00 and will take 4 weeks to get there, probably a week or two to look at it and maybe 4 weeks for return. By that time summer and need will be over.
    The ship to address zip code is 000000 which is not recognized as a valid zip code, my carrier would not accept the package. Resolution is still pending (I hope).
    Conclusion: The warranty may be great unless you need to use it. I am unable to recommend this product. Beware, you really have little-to-no warranty.

    Expensive for what it is, although it works much better and consistently than the standard gps remote, the magnetic charging cable is poorly designed, if your trying to charge it on the run, in a car for example, it’s not strong enough to keep it in place while charging. Works with the X4 after you’ve done a firmware update, but holly cow, that was crazy awkward to do.

    This connected to my X4 ok to start with but then while in the field it failed to connect just when I wanted to use it. Tried resetting the connection, turning off the gps unit and the X4, bit still they would not connect. Also, one of the shooting modes shows in Chinese! It's a decent idea if it works all the time, there are some bugs to work out, I returned mine disappointed.
