This is a really solid upgrade for filmakers looking to enhance the ace pro 2's already amazing features. Out the box, if used correctly it proved itself to be a great action camera especially for underwater scenarios. As an actual camera, I was really impressed with the output however the ergonomics were terrible! Yet again, another boss move by insta 360 to introduce this unique grip! (The first was to partner with Leica to integrate optics and colour science in a compact, packagable form thats relatively easy to get your hands on. I also added a filter ring adapter that came with a lens cap to protect the lens and to give me the option of threading on several ranged diopters and ND filters. The build quality and overall weight feel great and of value. The aesthetics match the body of the ace pro 2 quite well and makes for a seamless integration... The shutter and extended grip solves the ergonomic issues almost immediately and puts this as a contender for street photography as its compact, durable body boasts a robust 50MP payload with extended battery life and a secret SD slot for stashing away those emergengy cards if things get out of hand datawise! I would highly recommend picking one of these up if you own the ace pro 2 from insta 360.

The grip is excellent quality and really changes what you can do with the camera itself.
When needed it really does feel like a “proper” still camera rather than an action camera. It sits really nicely on my gimbal when filming, and the hot shoe and other mounting options increase its versatility.
It’s easy to fit and use, the in built battery charges the camera too, extending it’s filming time.
In my view the extra functionality you get with it, like the zoom control, makes this accessory great value for money.

J'avais le Grip Xplorer 1 : très bien, très solide et garde la caméra etanche. Son défaut était.. Le grip, trop petit et on a vite les doigts devant l'objectif. J'espérai que le Grip Xplorer Pro soit plus grand puisqu'il integre une batterie.
Grip Xplorer Pro : Son grip est plus accentué, un poils plus grand, mais encore trop petit, et trop rapproché de l'objectif.
Les boutons ont un bon feeling, le boitier fit parfaitement avec la caméra. Mais j'espérais que le "porte carde SD" soit fonctionnel : c'est pas le cas. C'est juste un slot pour l'avoir proche de l'appareil mais non utilisable. Ce grip rends la caméra non étanche (contrairement au Grip Xplorer 1), parce qu'ils ont eu la riche idée de nous faire démonter le cache prise USB d'origine pour brancher celui-ci avec quelque chose de pas tout à faire étanche et qui ne se clips pas solidement au boitier du Grip.. Et du coup, on se retrouver à risquer de perdre le cache USB d'origine, dont on sait pas quoi en faire.. Au lieu de mettre un Slod SD inutile, un emplacement pour ce cache USB aurait été plus utile. Ah et j'étais censé avoir un obturateur pour cacher le port Jack.. Je ne l'ai pas.. Rien dans la boite. le grip, la notice, et une dragonne moche..

Donc l'idée est bonne, mais y'a un manque de Recherche et Développement. J'espère un "Grip 3 pro" avec une poignée ergo de taille "adulte", plus éloignée de l'objectif (et encore, j'ai pas le grand angle..), qui soit aussi solide que le Xplorer 1, qui garde l'intégrité de l'étancheité de la caméra ou du boitier. Et accessoirement un slot SD utilisable, et/ou un bouton/molette assignable en plus. Ah et impérativement.. Un foutu pas de vis 1/4 sous boitier !! Ca n'aurait franchement pas été du luxe, au prix du grip, parce que là j'suis obligé de foutre un clips 4broches insta360 (systeme pratique) + une patte 1/4" pour y fixer une sangle de main et bien maintenir mon appareil. Et ça fait "caméra posée sur une étangère" ..

Bisher bin ich mit der Ace Pro 2 sehr zufrieden. Der Xplorer-Pro-Griff beseitigt zwei minimale Schwächen der Kamera: die Akkulaufzeit bei 8K-Video und die Kompaktheit an sich (gelegentlich waren meine Finger auf den Aufnahmen verewigt). Die Akkus konnte ich fix wechseln und die Ace Pro 2 hat von Haus aus ein riesiges Sichtfeld, dass man sich ums Motiv nicht mehr groß sorgen muss; man schneidet einfach aus was man braucht. Mit dem Griff hat man allerdings ein deutlich besseres Handling der Kamera, weil es nun der Bauart einer herkömmlichen Kompaktkamera nahe kommt, die nicht umsonst alle gleich aussehen. Mit den Knöpfen können die Aufnahme-Modi schnell geändert werden und es braucht weniger Wischerei auf dem Display. Ich aktualisierte zuerst die Firmware der Ace Pro 2, wie beschrieben, das hätte ich mir wohl sparen können, denn als sich der Grip mit der Kamera verband, wurde noch ein Update installiert. Ausschlaggebend ist, dass alles tadellos funktioniert. Der Grip passt haargenau zur Ace Pro 2, da wackelt nichts und der Schutz ist wie beim alten Käfig vorhanden. Leider war meine bisherige Gürteltasche für die Kamera nun zu klein und es gibt gerade keinen brauchbaren Artikel im Handel. Zum Glück hatte ich eine Kameratasche von �鶹��-Basics herumliegen, die ich nun benutze.
