This costume worked great on Halloween, the tail dragged on the ground the entire time and did not rip at all. Everyone loved the costume. The only tiny problem was you can’t hear anything or see very well from inside. One set of batteries lasted the entire night!

Ideal for Fancy Dress
First off, I am so happy to have one of these! Every Halloween I look at them in the costume shop, but I never want to part with the $100+ for one. This one at half price fits the bill perfectly! It looks great, is easy to wear and is a lot of fun. The packaging says it is great for parties and ideal for fancy dress, I don't know if it will work for black tie, but could definitely work at a business casual event. The material is quite thin, so I would be careful around sharp objects or catching it on anything, any hole in it and it will leak. For the price I am not expecting something very puncture or rip resistant, so it will not detract from the rating, but something to keep in mind. The costume stands quite tall, I have a 9ft ceiling in the room that the pictures were taken in and the costume is very close to the ceiling. There are elastic loops for your feet and hands, so that you can walk without wearing holes in the costume and use your hands to grab things. As this is a T-Rex costume the arms are short, so your arms will be tucked in while wearing them. The viewing window is large and easy to see through. Since the fan is constantly drawing outside air in I found it quite comfortable to wear for a while and I didn't overheat at all. I would still dress light inside. Overall a great costume at a fantastic price.

These costumes were a blast, people in vehicles going by took photos and videos and sometimes honked their horns in appreciation, and many families stopped us to take photos with them and their kids.
But, be warned these costumes are very warm, my friends and I all wore shorts and t-shirts underneath while it was about 10C outside. Also, be warned that the condensation is REAL, we had to carry microfibre towels in our pockets to wipe the inside of the viewing window - we had to wipe it at least once every 5-10 minutes if we wanted to be able to see. This might not be a problem if you live in warmer climates though, YMMV.
Despite the warmth and condensation, 10/10 would wear again.
FYI: The tallest of us was 5'10", and the shortest was 5'4" and the costume fit us all nicely.
