The Evolution 1.0HP is the updated version of the once best-selling, recently discontinued Evolution Excel, which I had to replace. Unfortunately, my experience with the new model has been disappointing. The performance is average, the noise level is significantly higher than the discontinued version, and the price is almost double. Additionally, the new device's output port is 10 mm shorter and doesn't fit the original piping. I will be returning this and opting for another brand.

Great product! It was so easy for my contractor to install! Works perfectly; SO quiet! I thought the 1 HP might be more than I needed, but am so glad I chose this model. Much better for the septic system. Plus the water drain gasket in the sink is removable - so I can easily replace instead of fighting to clean it like the old kind that did not come out. So much more hygienic!

Please do not buy this in Europe. This is not a model for European market. First of all you need to understand, that you will need to buy a specific parts sold separately to even get it to work.

The InSinkErator Evolution 1 HP garbage disposal is designed to operate exclusively on 120 volts at 60 Hz. It is not compatible with 220-volt systems.

Attempting to connect this 120V model to a 220V power supply can result in damage to the unit and poses significant safety risks. For regions with 220V electrical systems, InSinkErator offers models specifically designed for that voltage, such as the Model 46 and Evolution 100.

It’s advisable to purchase your InSinkErator product from an authorized retailer in your country to ensure compatibility with local electrical standards and to validate the warranty.
