The Impact Super Clamp with Ratchet Handle is a versatile grip tool made of lightweight cast alloy. With a load capacity of 33 lb, the clamp can hold a wide variety of items such as cameras, lights, umbrellas, hooks, shelves, plate glass, cross bars, even other Super Clamps.
The Super Clamp can be securely mounted on any tube or pipe from 0.5" to 2.1" and is supplied with a wedge insert for clamping onto flat surfaces. The ratchet handle allows you to disengage it and tighten it down from any angle; a very handy feature when you're using the clamp in tight quarters. A built-in socket holds 5/8" accessories such as the supplied SRP-102 Hex Stud with 1/4"-20 male thread.

This is a great alternative to the Manfrotto super clamp. It's about the same quality and weight, and comes with the wedge that lets you clamp it to a flat surface, like a desk (on the Manfrotto, you need to buy this separately).
Some tiny quibbles. It doesn't have a "Ratchet Handle". A ratchet is a handle that moves only in one direction when set, like a 3/8 inch ratchet that is used with a socket set. Instead, this lever works like most studio strobes and lights, with a handle that always moves in both directions, but can be lifted to reposition, which helps in tight spaces or angles. Also, The spigot is tapered; I actually prefer the straight ones, but this isn't a big deal.
All in all, it's an excellent value and a very sturdy build quality and the price is reasonable.
I've used this to clamp to mirrors, doors and pretty much anything. Strong and very useful and not too large/heavy to carry around. All metal build is great
Tengo un par Manfrotto de este tipo, Wow sorpresa!!! compre una para ver que tal y no les pide nada, esta bien su calidad y mejor aun el precio, comprare tres mas.

Since I'm attaching a ton of stuff to a single tripod stand (speaker stand vs normal lighting stand) this Impact Super Clamp is a life-saver. Firstly, I decided on the Rockville speaker stand because it holds up to 120 pounds. I can attach all sorts of camera, lighting, teleprompter devices without having the stand topple over. However, the tripod stand has very thick tubbing. This is to assure steady loading. I tried smaller clamps and they stretch beyond their safety zone and start to slip off. The Impact opens up at just the right circumference and winds down to a super-duper secured clamp. These clamps hold up all of my extension rods. I actually have to be careful I don't wind the handle too much so I don't crush the tube. The other awesome thing about the clamp is its ability to secure several extender rods onto one clamp. And you can't beat the affordable price. This jaw lives up to its name.

I have an outdoor wedding in two weeks. The ceremony will be held in a gazebo and test shots showed the lovely background would be blown out if I adjusted for exposure. It's a fairly small gazebo with no room for stands and I don't want to shoot with an on camera flash.
I ordered this clamp to mount a speedlight in the ceiling. When it arrived, I was impressed with the build quality. It is plenty sturdy to hold my speedlight. I screwed a small ball head on it and used a cold shoe for the flash.
I tested it at the site yesterday and it is just what I needed! Using it with my speedlight allowed me to perfectly balance the light. I was so impressed I just ordered another.
I like that there is an insert when you clamp to a flat surface, such as a 2x4. It can be easily removed for clamping to a round post. I also like that the clamp opens up wide enough to use on a 2x4. I know I'll be able to put it to all sorts of creative uses in the future.
I use my fairly heavy mirrorless camera as a webcam. I've tried several different iterations of support arms to hold it in place above my ultrawide monitor. Some have been abject failures, while others have been subpar. This impact super clamp combined with the 6" extension arm is exactly what I've been trying to accomplish for some time now.
The super clamp is attached to the center pole of my monitor arm. The extension is screwed into the clamp, and I have a Neewer ball head on top of that with the camera mounted to it. This setup is rock solid, with no leaning, bouncing, or dipping. The lever makes it easy to clamp down with all the necessary force, and the spigot is solid brass, not soft aluminum like so many others. Definitely recommend this product.
