Effective water heater
This 2000W immersion water heater effectively heats water, as described. I tested it in my tub, heating about 40L of tap water from 57 degrees Fahrenheit (13.8 deg C) to 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 deg C) in 50 minutes. I appreciate the clear instructions and safety cautions on the controller panel and in the package. The temperature is easy to adjust and visualize. Aspects you would consider before making a purchasing decision: - temperature is only displayed in Fahrenheit. - there is no built-in timer or auto power off function. A timer or 2-hour power auto-shut-off feature would be great for safety reasons, as it’s not recommended to power the device for longer than 2 hours.

    I really like it works well heats the water up. Does its job. It does take 2 hours to reach full heat in the bathtub and you do have to fill the tub, so it does take time. If you just want to heat up a bucket or sink the time is much less obviously. Do make sure the water is fully covering the whole heater unit and make sure your bathtub plug is secure or it will burn if not enough water.

    * UPDATE: After using this immersion heater for the past three weeks, it has completely stopped working. It powers on and I am still able to set the temperature, but it refuses to heat up. Poor construction, and / or quality control. This product is affordable, but not meant for long term use.

    The built-in heater in my inflatable hot tub stopped working, so I was told to give a immersible “bucket” heater a try. I have been using this over the past several weeks to heat my hot tub and I am very impressed with the results. I only have a small 2-person 150 gallon hot tub, but this little heater completely heats it up in about 3-4 hours from a cold start.

    There is a thermostat built into the power cord with a number display that is very easy to set and control. Just use the set button three times to manually enter your temperature mode, and then use the up or down keys to increase or decrease your temperature.

    I normally set this heater at 105 degrees Fahrenheit which brings my hot tub water to about 102-103 degrees, perfect temperature for a relaxing soak. My built in heater in my hot tub would take about 3-4 days to heat the water, vs 3-4 HOURS with this one. Phenomenal performance.

    With the above said, there are some major precautions to take when using this, especially if you are using as a replacement heater for your hot tub:

    Always fully insert the heater into the water before plugging into a power source.
    Never touch the water while this heater is running. Always unplug first!
    Never let the heater touch the bottom or sides of your inflatable hot tub or pool, to reduce risk of damage.

    I have this heater wrapped around a broomstick handle that I then place across the width of my hot tub and the heater hangs freely in the water to heat it. This isn’t the best looking way to use the heater, but it is safe and prevents damage to my hot tub.

    Very good product at an inexpensive price and it is very easy to use when done safely.
