I only started developing my own film a few months ago. This one-shot developer was recommended as a good black and white developer to start with.
I've had a couple of bottles of it now and developed a couple of films. It's nice and easy to use as it a one-shot, meaning you measure out the amount you require and dispose of it when finished. It's probably not as cost effective as some of the ones you make from powder, but it is better if you aren't developing huge amounts in a very short period.
I don't believe it is supposed to be as good as some of the other Ilford developers or alternative brands, but the results are perfectly fine. It also does work pretty well pushing the film or stretching it out with more dilute mixtures; normally you develop at 1+9, but it's perfectly acceptable at 1+14.
I've had a few bottles of this now and am happy to recommend.
