If you happen to have a dinosaur, lying around your living room, and you don't know what to do with it...why don't you use it as a can opener? It will make a terrific nutcracker too! There are oodles of uses for a dinosaur -- from a fine umbrella to an excellent kite and a dandy pillow, not to mention a reliable burglar alarm and the perfect excuse to forget your homework. About the author

Linda Bailey is the author of more than thirty-five books for children. She was born and grew up in Winnipeg, but a passion for travel took her around the world, mostly by ship, before she settled on Canada's west coast. It was there that she first began to write fiction and discovered the splendours of a different kind of travel — into imagined worlds.
Her books, now published in fifteen countries, have won multiple awards across North America, including the California Young Readers Medal, the Ontario Blue Spruce and Silver Birch Awards, the Arthur Ellis Crime Writers Award and the Georgia Picture Book Award. Linda has two grown daughters, Lia and Tess, and lives in Vancouver, close to the sea.

4.0 out of 5 stars Buenas ilustraciones

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book - possibly a new favorite
Verified PurchaseI was looking for a dinosaur storybook or two for my kiddos because they wanted more books with dinos as the focus of the story (this isn’t so much a story with a plot of course). We already had a dozen or so, but we read those so often that we needed a couple more (they didn’t want the dozens upon dozens of other animal story books we have). Came across this one and it is great.
The book is cute and funny, with nice pictures. It makes sense. and reminds me of a more advanced, “How Do Dinosaurs.....” book without rhyming. Very nicely done and we like it a lot.
We bought it as a board book, but because of its size and how long it is, it doesn’t have thick pages. I was hoping for thicker pages so our youngest could look at it himself, but I’m thinking I’ll wait a year on that, which is fine but important to know. I really like the size of it though so that both our kiddos can easily see it as I read it to them.
This is a great book. I can easily see this being read daily and not overstaying its welcome because it is a little longer and is a good production. A great new book to add to our collection!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice book for dino fans
Verified Purchasewe got this book for our little dino fan aged 4, and he loves it a lot. At first I was wondering if he would be able to understand it - but it works well and he finds it very funny. Book quality of both paper & printing is fine.
