A modderen day master piece. All this film has is a hand full of actors, a house, but the brilliant proformances, meticulous directing and camera work make this a mountain of a movie.

Broken Case
For $50 you would think the case would in perfect shape. Unfortunately the it came broke and barely closes.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is Dolby Atmos on both versions
Verified PurchaseI highly recommend getting "Hush" on the new 4K disc from Scream Factory. I'm not going to review the movie, only the 4K disc, but Having recently experienced the new "Shush" cut of the film, I can confidently say it's nothing short of amazing. One of the most delightful surprises was discovering that the audio on both versions features a new Dolby mix enhancing the movie-watching experience with a level of sound quality that I wasn’t expecting. The atmospherics are particularly impressive in certain scenes, allowing sounds to move seamlessly around and above the soundstage, creating an immersive environment that complements the film's tense atmosphere beautifully.
The Black and White version of "Hush" adds an extra layer of artistry to the film, stripping away the music and allowing the tension to build through silence, which I believe elevates the overall experience. That being said, I still enjoy the original cut, which also boasts Dolby Atmos audio. Both versions benefit from stunning 4K Dolby Vision, showcasing rich visuals that truly capture the essence of the story. For anyone who is a fan of the film, this release is undoubtedly worth the investment. I’m excited to watch the colorized version this weekend as well.
One caveat to note is the "gassing" problem with the disc case. If you do purchase it, I would recommend washing the disc and cleaning the case upon receipt to avoid any potential issues. Overall, this disc release is a treasure for fans and promises a memorable viewing experience. Also, for people who are into bonus materials, there are a lot of them as well, so happy viewing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Movie that I’m happy to support, some iffy decisions
Verified PurchaseThis is a simple movie with plenty of tension, it’s not the all-time best from a storytelling perspective, but its execution is flawless. If you can imagine being deaf and mute and running for your life from some psycho, that’s the story. It’s a short movie about survival, instinct, and human nature. There are some really thoughtful scenes and clever plot points relating to Maddie’s (Kate Siegel) deafness that I won’t give away.
I’m happy this product got a home release, but it’s shout factory, so it’s far from perfect.
So firstly, the reviewer that said the discs have a Dolby vision layer is incorrect. Neither 4K cut has Dolby vision, just HDR10. My player auto-detects DV and it doesn’t miss. Some players you can just leave Dolby vision on, and it just over saturates standard and HDR content. Anyway, both the standard version and the “shush cut” (black and white, and almost the entire musical score removed for effect) are upscaled from a digitally shot 2k master.
So the discs aren’t native 4k, not a big deal to me and neither is the lack of DV. I think both cuts look incredible compared to my HD digital copy that looks really lifeless.
The slipcover looks terrible. Flat, cheaply printed, flimsy, easily damaged, shout never does anything right with them. It’s just a picture on thin cardstock.
The case had some kind of muck all over the inside and all over the discs (another shout exclusive, they LOVE releasing dirty discs) but I wiped all of that off and didn’t have any issue.
Love the actual content of the disc, it’s just too bad this wasn’t an arrow or criterion release so we could get our moneys worth.

5.0 out of 5 stars 4k versions are incredible
Verified PurchaseGreat. The black and white Hush Shush Cut is incredible.
I have not watched anything on 4k, and I got this, I can't believe it looks this good. It definitely changed my mind. The color version was amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mike Flanagan’s Hush
Verified PurchaseLet’s be honest, the fact this physical media release exists is nothing short of a miracle in the shrinking realm of physical media. The former Netflix movie lives on on home release in a exquisite rendition on 4K. If you’re a fan of Mike Flanagan (oculus, doctor sleep, haunting of hill house, midnight club, fall of the house of usher) AND you love showing support for filmmakers getting control of their product this is a must.
