I decided that I would try a humidifier, so I purchased the Dreo. It is small and only a 6L model, but the price was better than the larger humidifiers.
There is no assembly or setup involved unless you want to install the app; it is also compatible with Alexa and Google. I am using it as I make this review, and it seems like it is working well. I have it set on the warm setting, and I am using distilled water to help prevent mineral buildup. It does go through water more quickly than I expected, on the manual 2 setting, the water has lasted about 16 hours, which might be good for a 6L tank and not a big deal, as the tank is easy to fill.
The only negative that I see so far after about nine hours of use, and it is a small negative and unavoidable because of the design, is that there is a small puddle of water that builds up on the top lid from the mist port, most of the mist goes into the air but there is some that accumalates on the lid that you will need to wipe dry.
I like this humidifier; I hope that it will be reliable. Based on first impressions and 9 hours of use, I recommend it.

Yeah this thing's been really good to us. I actually just finished writing a horrible review for this company's oil filled radiator heater, but I'm pleased to report that the humidifier is actually top quality. The interface is extremely nice to deal with, the app works well and is responsive and not cluttered, and there are third-party water softening filters that snap onto the inside of the tank and prevent white dust from being peppered all over the house. It's actually almost too good in that I have to fill it every 10 hours, but part of that is just the extremely arid air in our Canadian winters.
One of the things that annoys me about most of these is how difficult it is to clean. So many nooks and crannies, but I think all things considered they did a pretty good job of Designing this so that that is less of an issue. I rinse it out I give it a little scrub with the included brush, and then wipe everything down with white vinegar. No issues so far, and the heated Mist function is a really nice touch.
