To rescue his children, an adult Peter Pan must return to Neverland and battle an old enemy.... and rediscover the child in himself

Directed by Steven Spielberg and nominated for five Academy Awards, Hook stars Robin Williams as Peter Banning, a 40-year-old corporate takeover lawyer who has lost any memory of being Peter Pan. Peter and his family travel to London to visit Granny Wendy (Maggie Smith) and his children are asleep in the same bedroom where the original Peter Pan story began, when there is a blinding flash. Peter comes into the room to discover a note from Captain Hook (Dustin Hoffman), informing Peter that he has kidnapped his children. Granny Wendy now tells him who he really is and encourages him to transform himself into the Peter Pan of the past. With the encouragement of Tinkerbell (Julia Roberts), Peter once again takes wing, and it's off to Neverland to rescue his kids.

    The 4K version of "Hook" was a pleasant addition to my personal movie collection. Since upgrading my blu ray's to 4K, I was hoping to find "Hook 4K" at a reasonable price. I finally found it with this seller. I always enjoyed this version of Peter Pan and felt it pull at my heart strings. Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman are excellent in their individual roles. I would recommend this movie and "Finding Neverland" as movies that tell great stories. Other Peter Pan movies can not compare. Get hooked on "Hook"

    the movie is just as good as I remember it, a grown up Peter Pan doesn't remember his past and his kids get kidnapped by Hook and taken back to Neverland, and only he can rescue them, but only if he remembers...
    Excellent giggles for kids, along with a bit of drama that only an older audience would understand.
    Dustin and Robin do a great job, along with other great actors.
    A family movie that everyone will enjoy!

    I loved this film when I was younger and nothing has changed about that, even though I'm now 22!

    Robin Williams is, as always, brilliant. He's hilarious and I think he makes a great Peter Pan - definitely one of my favourite portrayals. He plays the grown-up Peter fantastically, as a man who has forgotten all about Neverland and his life before growing up. Once he returns to the magical world and finally remembers, his take on Peter was wonderful to watch. Who'd of thought Robin Williams in tights would have been so cool?

    I loved the lost boys in this. They were so dependent on Peter and had clearly missed him so much and the ending when he left again just ripped my heart out. They were also so funny (BANGARANG) when they were 'training' Peter to become himself again (the dinner scene was just awesome). Also: Ru-fi-ooooooooooooooo.

    Dustin Hoffman as Hook was just splendid. He's such a great actor and I've learned to expect nothing better than AWESOME from him. And he delivered. Hook is perfectly creepy but also kind of strangely likeable.

    The puns in this movie provide a lot of laughs (perhaps more now, watching as an adult: see the dinner scene when Peter and Rufio get into an argument) and the film is just a joy to watch throughout.

    Okay, so it's not a completely oscar-worthy masterpiece. But it's a film that will keep you entertained throughout and get you back in touch with your childish side, something we all need once in a while. In my opinion, it's a must-see for anyone who's a fan of Williams or, you know, fun.
