The fan works fine in terms of basic function—charge it up, and it blows air just like you’d expect. No complaints there.
Where it falls short is how it handles power. Like many portable fans, it has a rechargeable internal battery. That’s great. But most similar products also let you plug them in and run directly on wall power when the battery runs low. Unfortunately, this fan doesn’t do that.
When you plug it in, it still runs off the battery. The cord only slows down how fast the battery drains because it’s charging while in use—but the battery still dies eventually as it drains faster than it charges. So even when it’s plugged in, the fan will shut off once the battery runs out, just a little later than if it wasn’t charging at all.
Most portable items like this switch to house power when plugged in, but for some reason, this one doesn’t.
I’d say it’s fine for short-term use—moving it around for temporary airflow while cleaning or cooling a small space for a bit. But if you need a fan to run for long periods, like when working in your home office for several hours, this won’t cut it. The battery just won’t last that long, and plugging it in won’t save you once it drains.
