The extended gas cap has a machined 1/4" NPT port on top and includes a 1/8" thick Nitrile N fuel resistant sealing gasket. Brass hose is 1/4" hose ID x 1/4" male NPT. They provide a positive connection and improve containment and safety when using the generator.
