I just finished growing the first batch with 1 tablespoon of seeds. The jars were 70% full in four days. I did place it near my indoor grow lights after the second day, which made the sprouts a more deep green. This is a fast and convenient way to have fresh greens around the house all the time. I’ve already ordered another kit!

I have finally gotten around to testing this Mumm's Sprouting Seeds home sprouting kit out. I ordered it on impulse, after getting annoyed with paying out the nose for microgreens weekly. I love microgreens because they are small and tender, and they are great in noodle bowls, on sandwiches, or to create a side salad. I really should not have put off getting this setup because it took less than five minutes. I rinsed out the jars and their lids with some soapy water and then I put one tablespoon of seeds into each jar (you can use up to 2 tablespoons, but I wanted my first round to be smaller as a test).
Then you fill the jars with water and let them sit in sunlight for up to 4 hours. Apparently in 2 to 5 days I'll have a jar full of tasty sprouts. You get a lot of seeds in a pack, so I'm thinking these should keep me going for several months. I spend around $8 on microgreens weekly so this should be a big savings for me and it's fun to have fresh greens on the regular.

The jars are heavy, standard mason style with a screen at the top, so you can easily rinse your seeds/sprouts. The metal base and stand are both stainless steel so are also easy to clean. Currently my setup is living on my side table because that's where the best sunlight is, but I'll have to find another place for it if this becomes a regular production.

I'm testing out the organic broccoli brassica blend first, which includes broccoli, broccoli raab, radish, mustard, and arugula). Note that you need to rinse your greens with fresh water twice daily to keep them growing, but I don't think that will be too overwhelming for me. I'm looking forward to seeing my sprouts grow and I'll update my review once I've got my fresh greens!

First let me say that this was way easier than I thought it would be. Literally all you have to do is place 1-2 tablespoons of seeds in your jars, fill with water ( I washed them first before use) and soak them for 6-8 hours then rinse twice a day gently place inverted in the holder and place in sunlight.

After one day of rinsing (day 2 if you include the soak) they were already beginning to sprout. I waited a full five days after soaking day and the jars were full as you can see. The jar on the left was sandwich mix so I only used 1 tablespoon of sprouts. The salad mix had 2 tablespoons and you can see the difference in the sprouts / micro greens produced.

I have to say they are so delicious we are really enjoying them. I am very happy for the high nutrient content and this is a fun way for the children to learn about life cycle of plants etc as well making our own food.

I will definitely be buying more seeds once we finish these. I am so glad they grow about 30 cups so will last a long time.

This pack is excellent value for money and I recommend this product.
