Great Supplement and Health Canada Approved
Sourced mainly from Himalayan rocks, Shilajit is a resinous substance formed over many centuries through the slow decomposition of plant matter. Widely utilized in Ayurvedic practices, it’s considered a safe supplement with many health benefits. Many Shilajit options exist, but I prefer a tested product. It's reassuring that they've undergone third-party testing and possess a Health Canada license with a registered NPN number. The Licensed Natural Health Products Database contains information about natural health products that have been issued a product licence by Health Canada.Products with a licence have been assessed by Health Canada and found to be safe, effective and of high quality under their recommended conditions of use. Shilajit is a sticky tar like resin so you need to dissolve it in something reasonably hot. I save the last little bit of my morning coffee, reheat it in the microwave then drop the included metal scoop with a pea size dollop of resin into my coffee mug. After a minute or so I can stir it and the majority of the shilajit has dissolved. I wouldn’t call the flavour pleasant, but it’s certainly tolerable considering the purported health benefits. I have been taking it for a week and do find it helps with my ability to focus and have noticed a subtle increase in my energy levels. Shilajit's numerous health benefits, I believe, are largely attributable to its potent antioxidants. Continued, consistent use will likely reveal further positive effects. The price with the current 5% coupon does seem a little on the high side, but once you start comparing the varying strengths of other products and weeding out the ones without Health Canada Registrations it may indeed be worth the extra cost.

Points positifs :
- Certifié NPN par Santé Canada, avec numéro d’identification visible sur l’emballage;
- Fiche d’analyse fournie avec le produit, indiquant 78,82 % d’acide fulvique et 3,2 % d’acide humique;
- Se dissout bien dans un liquide chaud ou tiède;
- Emballage soigné avec cuillère doseuse incluse;
- Goût moins agressif que d’autres produits similaires testés auparavant.
