Works on my parent’s Highlander. Make sure to check the manufacturer of the radio though before ordering. Luckily I got the right one as I forgot to check. Install is smooth, I wish I can keep the XM module but jumper cables are too short to keep, or maybe I didn’t try hard enough.

On UI though, smooth, no lag, but it takes the Android Auto to load for about 15-20 seconds upon starting or activating accessory and on CarPlay, it’s about 5-15 seconds. Resolution is crisp, haven’t tried the mirroring feature, other than that everything is fluid.

Highly recommended, and a must add-on feature these days.

Installed as per the instructions in my 19 highlander and the unit has been working as advertised for roughly the last five months. It loads the apple car play within roughly 20 seconds of starting the vehicle. The unit is pretty well glitch free so far. It's not a heavy load on the battery of an iphone 12. The unit is pretty well the cost of the nav update for the factory unit. It can revert back to the original factory features and back to car play if necessary. What I like as is that it is installed into the factory unit and is not a visible upgrade, the dash and factory head all looks as being untouched or modified.
