Although this item is refurbished, it appears and functions exactly as if it were new!
Upon opening the package, I saw that the box had said "Certified Refurbished", which was a nice touch and pretty reassuring. I immediately hooked up the DJ controller to MIDI monitor, and all elements read perfectly. Overall, 鶹 did a great job with ensuring the refurbished quality of this product.
The reason I'm giving only 4 stars is because of the tactile design of the product, which is more directed to Hercules. The jog wheels feel quite stiff out of the box, possibly because of their being relatively small. Any auxilary pad, whether it is the performance pads, cue, play, or sync, etc., are just a tad too stiff to my liking. They require too much activation force, so you have to be a bit extra when hitting these buttons.
Also, there aren't EQ knobs dedicated to mids, which is kind of a bummer to me.
So, overall, the refurbishers did a great job with giving me a fine product. The tactile sensation though is just a bit off, which might be due to Hercules.
