The 8500-Series cutting tables are ideal for architects, designers, decorators, artists and teachers. For building architectural models and prototypes, as well as classic model railroad pieces, plane and boat items, even set props for movies or theater productions. With a maximum operating temperature of 390°, the 8500-Series is ideal for cutting and sculpting Styrofoam, EVA foam, KT board, insulation foam, polyurethane and polyethylene, poster board, upholstery foam, PE foam, cushion foam, egg crate foam and much more.

Foot Controls Keep Your Hands Free

The Hercules 8500-Series Hot Wire Form Cutting Tables are the only hotwire tables to offer foot-operated power control. Keep both hands free to focus on your project while starting and stopping the hot wire with your foot instead of having to futz with the power switch each time you want to cool the wire while you’re trying to cut.

NOTE THAT THE TABLE MAY BE USED WITH OR WITHOUT THE FOOT PEDAL, IT'S YOUR CHOICE.

Smooth and Precise Every Time

The working surface is 14.5” x 10.5” and is made of a durable co-bonded compound that ensures smooth and easy movement of the work piece. The printed grid and protractor assist with division and help you make perfect cuts every time. The protractor is locked by three set-screws which ensure no unexpected movements while cutting. The solid aluminum overarm has a 13¾" throat and offers 6” in height. The wire holder and coil (one spool of wire (Φ0.18mm x 5m) is included) may be shifted and adjusted along the overarm to enable miter cutting.

The Hercules 8500-Series Hotwire Foam Cutters come with an included circle guide. The circle guide easily slips on and off the guide arm and it allows you to make perfectly round circular cuts every time. With this included attachment, you can easily cut shapes like cylinders, cones, tapers, cubes and polygons by simply adjusting the angle of the wire.
