Great For Hanging Lights Or Wall Panels
The tape has pretty good adhesion and thats exactly what matters the most when it comes to a tape quality. It holds well on both sides making it perfect for home projects. Can be used to hand pictures but can also be used for more than that. I used it for sound proof wall panels for my office and although they were not too heavy, they were definitely heavier than a regular painting. It holds it well. It has a foam in between which makes it little cushioned. Provides the required gap between the object and the wall for better adhesion as things are not exactly smooth and straight. Great for hanging christmas lights as well. Just paste a roll where you want the lights and press the light string against it. I did not have to yet take if off, so not sure how much of a damage it leaves behind on the paint, if any. I just wish the roll was longer as I am already mostly off after the sound panels I installed.

    This tape is pretty strong... I've used it on a handful of projects. We've used it mostly for hanging small picture frames on walls (as I'm not a big fan of drilling too many holes). I put 4 pieces, one on each corner and it seems to do the job well. I'm not sure about hanging heavy pieces with this double sided tape, but small frames (4 by 6, 5 x 7 and light 8x10 ones) seem to be fine with it. I've also used it on the backside of a couple pieces of carpet in order to keep them stable and it seems to do the trick.

    I recently got some lights that attached to the bottom of my desk so I can see underneath as needed but it left the cable for turning the lights on and off just dangling there which got annoying as it kept heading against my legs. This was the perfect solution to fix that issue.

    It's easy enough to use. Cut what you need, stick it on the surface you want to stick it on, and remove the secondary layer of film to stick whatever you want to stick to it. I haven't used anything too heavyweight but for cables and other light things like that, this works well.

    I did need to reposition the switch itself, and removing this stuff was a bit of a pain. It's hard to remove from whatever surface you have it on and it leaves a very sticky residue that's really hard to clean off. It took rubbing alcohol and a little bit of elbow grease to get rid of everything because it leaves a lot of residue behind.

    That is a small gripe however, overall this works well and if you need double-sided tape that isn't standard tape but more foam, it is a pretty solid choice. I wouldn't trust anything too heavy with it, but for light things it works well.

    This roll of Heavy Duty Double Sided Tape has a strong adhesive force. Because it is thick, it can be used to stick to many things. I used it to stick a photo frame to the wall, and it was useful. It is also useful for fixing short-haired carpets. Before using, wipe off the dust on the surface to be stuck so that it can stick tightly.

    I've had mixed results with this 3M Heavy Duty Double Sided Tape.

    This was ordered in the hopes it would work with the failed command hooks and get things to stay in place. Instead I just spent time cleaning my scissors and the item I had stuck up has fallen down and now has the 3M tape on it. Another thing that fell down was placed on a plastic shelf to get it off the floor and when I tried to remove it I ended up with adhesive on the shelf.

    A couple of things are holding but they are all small pieces a couple of inches or less. That's not enough for me to recommend it. Granted I'm not mounting a paper poster on a wall but I expected that "foam tape can be used to replace rivets, screws, spot welds, and messy liquid adhesives" would hold a plastic command hook in place on the floor. It didn't. And yes, I cleaned the surface first.

    If there are special prep instructions, they weren't included in the clear bag the roll came in. When I went to the 3M website for instructions on how to use it, I couldn't find a tape that matches what I received, so if I'm using it wrong, there's nothing to tell me what I'm doing wrong.

    Your results may differ but I won't be buying this product again.

    This tape is easy to work with and sticks well- just as well as another popular extraterrestrial brand, from what I've tested so far. It's keeping our paper towel holder up and there is a noticable strength to its bonding power with a bit of time. I have not tried removing this, so I don't yet know if it peels away paint. But it sure does stick!

    I never thought tape could actually make decorating easier, but this Fanree double-sided PE foam tape really surprised me. I used it to hang some framed prints in my home office, and it just works—0.8 inches wide, so it’s strong without showing around the edges. Peeling off the liner is super smooth, no annoying tearing like cheaper tapes. I stuck a few strips on a small 5x7 frame, pressed it for a few seconds, and it stayed put—even after I accidentally bumped my standing desk. It got tighter over 20 minutes and felt solid by the next day. I even tried it on my bathroom mirror (away from direct water), and it handled the humidity like a champ. Just make sure the surface is clean—I wiped mine down with rubbing alcohol—and give it a full day before putting anything heavy up. I learned that the hard way when a wooden shelf slid a bit at first. For quick, damage-free hanging without the hassle of nails or hooks, this tape is now my go-to.
