Currently living outside Missoula, Montana and Prescott, Arizona, Kat Martin is the New York Times bestselling author of over seventy-five Historical and Contemporary Romantic Suspense novels. Before she started writing, Kat was a real estate broker. During that time, she met her husband, L. J. Martin, an author of Westerns and high-action Thrillers. Kat is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara where she majored in Anthropology and also studied History.

"I love to travel and especially like visiting the places where my books are set," Kat says. "I love history and enjoy spending time in museums and art galleries. My husband and I often stay in out-of-the-way inns and historical houses. It's fun and it gives a wonderful sense of a by-gone era."

    I laughed when there was a misunderstanding because of poor translation. Overall, a very interesting story. A clash between cultures and the huge sacrifice they were willing to make for each other was most interesting.

    I have read 200 plus historical romances. This one will always be remembered for being superb! Not only was it about a hot viking- it was so good because of the crushing inner conflict of both main characters. I laughed out loud and cried more than once. You will not be able to put it down.

    I loved this book and couldn’t stop reading. Loved how Krista and her Dad rescue Leif. They teach him their ways and also English. But he’s meant to return home. I did cry for them. She’s so independent and feels she’s needed in England. I really felt for them. Thankfully they finally get a very happy ever after. I highly recommend this book. I read the other two books first and now I want to re read the series.

    i wish I'd read the story in the order it was written. I am sure this should have been a 5 star but because I read Heart of Fire first I knew a good deal of the plot of this one and it kind of made it harder. The in no way compromises the wonderful story that this is, but it makes it harder for me to give it a five star rating.

    I love Krista and her Viking Leif. I especially like the manner in which she found him. I did however think their final getting together and married was a little dragged out. But I still loved the story.

    I hope you will give this one a try but , Read it before Heart of Fire.

    Love the main characters in this novel, Leif and Krista. He believed he had a duty, a vow he had given his father. She was determined to maintained her independence. Fate brought them together and the world as they knew it, ceased to exist. Magically Delicious! Hugely.Recommend.
