Sometimes the best things in life are simple and this is exactly that! 2 pieces of wood connected by 2 screws, 2 bolts and a holding rod that goes straight through the holes in the wood, sealed by end connectors. Assembly was effortless! I was hoping that since the 2 pieces of wood were fully adjustable that I would be able to situate it in such a way as to be able to sit sturdy on top of my window sill which is an uneven surface. Sure enough, it fits like a glove! I can open and close the blinds without moving it and my plant babies get all of the best sunlight! As others have mentioned: It's very nice that this particular model features a holding rod that you simply stick the vase pieces in from the side and it holds them. This makes cleaning the vases MUCH easier compared to the other models where you have to thread the rod into the vases like a shish kabob.
