    Espresso making with this machine is quite complex and not too friendly for beginners who doesn't know what to do. It's not as simple as pressing the single or double button on this machine and getting espresso. You'll need a scale along with a timer, plus lots of coffee to dial in an espresso recipe. You're able to adjust the grind size, grind time, and "brew amount" on this machine as a setting individually on each of the single and double espresso options. It's not obvious on the listing/images but to operate this machine you press once on grind button for single grind, twice for double grind. Then either single or double to brew that amount. Programming involves pressing and holding the respective button and releasing when it's at the desired amount.

    The machine comes with instructions on how to actually brew the espresso and is extremely detailed with every single step explained well. It also gives some recommended settings to start with but it's way off and you'll need to "dial in" the recipe for your coffee bean yourself. I wasted my first dose getting a ~7s double shot pulling ~70g of liquid... One thing though is that this grinder is "grind by time", so I personally wouldn't fill the bean hopper to the brim. Pour in the exact amount of beans you need and grind it all. I've found this grinder's "grind by time" to be unreliable and could be off by 1-2 seconds to grind even the pre-dosed beans. Another reason is that you'll need have the grinder be running while adjusting the grind size if there's something in the hopper, if not then can adjust whenever.

    In terms of accessories, the tamper is great as it's solid metal and very heavy. You get both dual walled or pressurized baskets that'll force crema from stale coffee beans and a more regular basket. The other accessories are decent and nothing to complain about. The water reservoir is actually incredible as it holds ~3L of water, plus you can top it up with a funnel/pitcher as it can open from the top without removing the entire thing.

    One minor-ish complaint is the toolbox. It hides behind the drip tray inside the unit, however it can only hold 2 baskets despite you having 3 after you use one to brew. 1 basket will always need to have somewhere else to live. Plus the toolbox isn't securely attached so it will fall out along with it's contents if you move the machine with it inside.
    Another is that this will probably need a puck screen as I've had ground coffee get on the group head after brewing.
    An even minor-ish complaint is the instructions. While it's very helpful in getting you started, it's not that great in helping you dial in your recipe. It also gives some misinformation about too much tamp force being a factor with over extracted brews.

    Overall this is quite an expensive espresso machine and is ok as a "starter" unit. This unit does the job and doesn't have any serious flaws to it. You'll need to double the price of this to get an actual tried and true competent machine for intermediate level brewers and up.

    This is an excellent, high-end, entry-level manual espresso maker (I would even consider it to be entry-mid-level). It is easy to operate and comes with everything you need to make a good shot of espresso. (I really like how big the dial and buttons are, being perfectly laid out for ease of use.) The storage compartment inside, located behind the tray, is small and will only hold some of the strainers, but the machine's compact size, considering it has a built-in grinder, makes it ideal for home use, even in cases such as my own with limited counter space. The press has a good weight to it and works well to compress the ground coffee. The 2.9-litre reservoir is large enough so I do not need to refill it too often, providing enough water for over a week's use for my wife and me. It is also easy to remove for refilling with the convenient folding handle. Though I did prefer how my other grinder performed compared to this one, after playing with this grinder for a bit, referring to some of the guidelines in the well-put-together instructions, I got the hang of this one and actually prefer the convenience and space savings it offers. I now make my coffee using this espresso machine as well with boiled water. Absolutely the best of both worlds!

    Overall I'm quite pleased with the build quality and performance of this espresso maker; it is providing me with some of the best coffee and espresso I have experienced from a machine at home to date. I am sure many others will enjoy what this machine has to offer and will appreciate its easy-to-use design. Though it can seem a bit pricey, I honestly feel it is reasonably priced for its class and build quality; it comes with all the accessories and a built-in grinder (just need to have cups.) As long as it continues to perform as well as it has been to date, it is a full 5 stars for me.

    This espresso machine has quickly become a house favorite. I love that. It comes with the built-in coffee grinder. Very easy to make adjustments on grind size and to clean it. I really appreciate the way the external water compartment flips up to fill up, but still keeps the little attached so you don’t lose it. It has everything you need to start making coffee you right away does a really good cup of espresso with great crema. Easy to make foam too. Clear instructions. This is a fantastic value because comparable models go for a lot more.

    The black and stainless steel design looks sleek and modern on my counter. It’s a good size, not too bulky, and feels solid with high-quality materials. Right out of the box, it looked and felt premium. The stainless steel exterior gives it a modern, clean look that fits beautifully in my kitchen. The black and silver finish is classy without being too flashy, and it blends well with almost any decor. It’s not overly bulky, and the design is sleek, with everything laid out in a user-friendly way. The coffee tastes amazing, thanks to the built-in grinder and 15-bar pressure. The milk frother works well, and the large 2.9L water tank means fewer refills. Plus, it smells incredible when brewing , like a mini café at home. The grinder is a bit loud, especially in the morning. But honestly, it’s a small issue for what you get. If you love espresso and want something stylish and reliable, this machine delivers.
