Definitely an option worth considering if you're in the market for an espresso machine. You'll feel like a barista making your morning coffee. And not just a barista, but a barista with some pretty decent equipmet.
- For me, the biggest plus of this machine is the built-in burr grinder. Not only does it have 30 levels of grind, but because it's built in, you just save yourself on so much mess and cleanup, vs. having to get it from your grinder into the filter.
- The included tamper is very very nice. Just the right amount of heft to feel 'right' in your hand. Very cool accent.
- A small pitcher is included for the milk frother.
- Not only does it come with 1 and 2 shot filters, but there's one that apparently lets you insert a pod from one of the pre-made brands? I didn't get to try that out, because.... I have real coffee to use, but... you know.
- Oh yeah, and it makes a nice cup of coffee!! It will take some patience to get things just right - making coffee is an art, and every time you change up your tools, you need to adjust your technique. I got there after a few cups with this one, and it seems to be quite consistent with the quality pulls now that I've got things figured out.
Is it silent? No, it's not, and no espresso machine ever is. Is it messy? Well, less so than some other options, with the built in grinder, but... If you don't want any cleanup at all, just go buy your latte. Does it make delicious coffee? DEFINITELY. Oh, and it just looks impressive on my counter. Love it.
