I am extremely pleased and impressed with the simplicity of banana bunch holder and the ease in which it is used, not to mention the capacity of holding the weight. It is fair to say you cannot tear the banana off the bunch while it is hanging so knowing this you can either hold if firmly and remove the banana or take it off the hook and then replace it one you retrieve you piece of fruit. I love the fact that it folds away if you do not have any bananas to hang. For our space, we have approximately 44cm or 17 ½” space from under the cupboard to the countertop. The hanger itself is about 16cm or 6 ¼”. You can see from the photos below the amount of space we have under our cabinets which is more than enough. This gives bananas their own space rather than putting them in a bowl; this allows air to move around them freely thus slowing the ripening of the fruit. I caution about the under-cabinet space as some have noted that the bananas hang almost touching the counter. I suggest you measure twice, hang once! Installation could not be easier – peel and stick!
Pros: Simple and sturdy design which folds away when not in use.
Cons: make sure you measure the space between your countertop and the bottom of your cabinets to ensure there is sufficient space.
