Great kettle!!! Stainless steel, solid piece, no leak points within the kettle itself. A word of caution though ... Please read below very carefully. The instructions say to fill to max line and boil it (100°C / 212°F) and discard and rinse and repeat 3 times ... For the very first boil, please put the kettle at the edge of the sink and aim the spout towards the sink. *** The kettle is an aggressive boiler and the first time I did it water spouted out the top and went all over my counter!! *** Thank goodness I wasn't hurt and there were no young children around. (See my video) Subsequent boils did not spout water out of the top, although you can see a little trickle in the video. All of the other temperatures work great, just be cautious with the actual boiling setting. I instructed my family to fill to 1 inch below the max line to avoid any mishaps. Overall, very satisfied with my purchase.

    Highly not recommend. I had to return the product. My family always used Hamilton products. Kettles, blenders, and most kitchen tools we have are from Hamilton. However, this particular kettle is awful. Once water boils, if you try to pour water to a cup, it leaks from the top nose, making it drip hot water. At least 5 times I was burned by just trying to pour some boiled water for my tea using this kettles. All jokes aside, it did get me fryed up in the morning at least when I'd wake up lazy

    I used to have a HB coffee maker for over 8 years. I thought HB products are trustworthy. However I am disappointed with this kettle. It looks new and beautiful. But the inside kettle has some boiling stain. On the wall of the stainless steel, the polishing is not even. Few stick-out dens and lines on it. Very cheap stainless steel you can see. Also somehow the water can never bring up to 100c, that means it can never boiled. Very disappointed with this product. I will lookfpr a better one.

    However, it took a long time to boil to 100°C —about 6 minutes. There was also a very loud noise while boiling the water.
