So far I've used it to shred cheese and make guacamole with some under ripe avocados. Love the scraper attachment. Helps in clean up. Just put it all in the dishwasher (top shelf).

    This little appliance has a lot of power, it really works for what it is for, and it is fantastic. It is easy to operate, easy to clean and small enough to store in your pantry. The base has plastic suction cups that hold it to the counter and it is a great idea. Overall a great quality product, I am quite impressed. The only thing I would say, that since 50% of the parts are hard plastic you have to be very careful because I'm sure if you drop them they would definitely brake. Other than that I don't have anything negative to say. Regular price is around $99.99CAD and I payed $49.99.

    This was exactly like our old one, which stopped working after a long, hard, every-day use,career. We bought a couple of others first but returned them because they were too complicated for us. We only want them to cube vegetables and mix cakes. We ended up buying this one again because you can't beat a good workhorse like this one.

    Overall we are very happy with this purchase. Hamilton Beach makes some good products with a great warranty. This food processor is powerful and works very well.

    There are just a couple of issues:

    1. The side scraper for the bowl is flimsy and just an added gimmick. We haven't needed to use it and thankfully it's optional.

    2. There are suction cups at the bottom of the unit! Are they expecting this to fly off the counter? The suction cups are a total pain for storage. They get stuck when putting it away. You literally have to avoid any contact with the shelf and drop it into place. And when you need to take it out, expect to peel back the cups to get it out. Really annoying if you store in a lower cabinet.

    Regardless, it does a great job and we'll live with the design issues.

    This is one of my favourite items, it works better than I expected, and has decent power! I got this one over others because I liked the side scraper, which ends up being super handy! There are several parts but they are all very easy to clean. The lock feature is helpful, as the machine wont work unless everything is locked properly so I dont end of wrecking it. I am glad I got the 10 cup, even though it is a large machine, because smaller wouldnt have fit in the large quantities I like to do. I grated a very large bag of carrots in no time, a huge cabbage that was great consistency for cole slaw, and made perfect nut butter. Thats been enough to sell me on it so far!
