This grinder is excellent. I have owned numerous coffee grinders over the years, all different styles and from different manufacturing companies. Considering the price, and just in general, this one is one of the best that I have used. I had seen in some customer reviews that there were some concerns regarding coffee grounds spilling during the grinding process. There is no mess whatsoever with my grinder. After the container contents are emptied into the coffee maker you just need to be sure it is fully inserted back into place rather than almost all the way in. Another feature I like about this little machine, as compared to other burr grinders I have owned, is that it takes up a much smaller amount of space on the counter in both area and height. I would recommend this coffee grinder and would purchase again. My coffee tastes great!

No go for espresso grind.
Way way too coarse. Water comes out in jets on your packed bowl. I got greated with flashing lights thought it was a warm up but oh no lol. I actually had to hold the hopper in the locked position to grind. If you dont hold it, it just spins to unlock by itself. Grind on the finest with 4 cups does not generate enough grinds for a double. Also so course it just shoots water out under pressure. Imagine the mess. Maybe a good coffee grinder for coffee but way way no good for espreesso. My baratza is being serviced, aftet 3 years of flawless peeformance. I thought i could get away with something cheap for a few weeks but no lol. This one belongs with all the other shipwrecks...at the beach.

Big step up from our old coffee grinder. Mostly used for drip and the occasional pour over or press pot. Took a couple of tries to get the grind adjusted but very consistent once dialed in. No more measuring beans or fussing to get the right grind, just press the button and done.

The one issue we had was when we switched beans and had a very dry bean. Caused some static issues and less beans ground. Switched to another brand when that bag was done and back to good grinds again. So if you are having issues try a different bean
