This has made my model building life so much easier. Love that the clips come with rubber covers to reduce the chance of scratching parts. That said, they are removable if you find you need that extra grip or the covers get in the way.

I thought the base's bottom would be exposed, but it is completely enclosed.

My one critique would be I wish the base were slightly weighted. I keep it on a piece of cardboard that helps keep it from sliding as much as it would on my desktop (and keeps my spare sticks close at hand). An option I've also considered is the little rubber dots that you can adhere to make 'feet.'
