I just received this light a couple days ago, so I can't speak to the longevity of it yet. But it is very bright! It has 3 different light modes: daylight, cool white, and warm white. The daylight mode is more of a spotlight, it shines from the center of the light. The other 2 modes shine from the ring around the center light.
I've played with the brightness adjustment on the daylight mode, but haven't tried the other 2. It took longer than other lights I've had for the brightness to adjust, to the point that I thought it wasn't going to change, when it did it wasn't a fast or huge difference.
The magnetic base is quite strong. I haven't had much need for a hooks or a screw on base on other lights I've used, so I don't see those being useful for me, but maybe in other situations it would be.
With the light being brand new, the pivoting base is stiff and holds the position well. We'll see how long that lasts. Other lights like this tend to loosen up over time.
I'll probably be ordering another one!
