The starter kit has everything you need to begin brewing. Also, everything in it is of excellent quality. I'm very happy with it. One thing that you should know, is that while all of the items are glass, the rim or shield of the dripper is some kind of plastic or rubber. But it doesn't come into contact with coffee or water.

    It's over a year now and I'm so happy every time I make a cup of coffee. Build quality is on-point and is sturdy. The only thing I'd point out is that the Glass V60 cone sits in a plastic clear base with a handle that has slightly been discoloured at the bottom where the coffee drips out due to, well, coffee dripping out of it. I wash it right away after use but I guess it was unavoidable. Other than that, I recommend it!
