    In the last few years, I have used both the tar-like version and capsules. I can't say that there has been any kind of notable difference between the two as far as any derived benefits, but then capsules spare me from the not-so-nice taste of this version. What I appreciate the most about capsules is NOT having to deal with the ugly taste that comes with the tar/paste version. The other not-so-nice aspect of this tar-like version is getting the correct amount each time I use it. There is a tiny metal spoon included that makes scooping up the correct amount easier. Getting the same amount each time doesn't happen, as there will always be a little difference in the amount that comes out on the spoon. While the taste is not something I would ever crave, it's the inability to get the exact same dose on every scoop that bothers me the most.

    There are other brands that supply it in capsule form and use the same size of capsule. So far, each has the same dose of fulvic acid. When going from one brand to the other, I have never experienced any changes.

    I can't state that I personally have noticed any changes in the way I feel, but my health care provider keeps testing me for this, and it always comes up positive. As long as this is the case, I will keep using it. Since he doesn't sell the product, I know it's not a profit-driven recommendation. The main thing to keep in mind it's suggested that Shilajit can provide a boost various functions within the human the body and mind (cognitive/memory), and it's suggested that this does help the body absorb other vitamins and nutrients, which results in a positive feeling, like drinking a cup of coffee. The difference is that the boost comes from the body being able to properly absorb nutrients, along with some boost it offers, sort of like a soft kick on the butt to get me going.

    ► Made in Canada, but HANDPICK is a US-based company.

    One noteworthy item: The pricing here for 120 capsules at 500mg per capsule breaks down to $0.25/capsule. The other brands of capsules break down from $0.31 to $0.50 per capsule. Considering that all the other brands I've used contain the same 50% Fulvic acid per 500mg, this is a far better deal.
