The Roku streaming stick is a Wifi or bluetooth ONLY device which mean it has totally different signal receiver and code inside. We can get lots of results on this market, but most of them are not working with Roku steaming stick if we read the title, bullet points and description carefully.

Roku TV remote is also using different codes from normal media players, so this remote will not work.
This remote is infrared which means it needs line of sight to work.
The most common infrared remotes are normal TV remotes. We can only control the TV when we point the remote directly to the TV. We cannot control the TV when we use it in another room, point the remote to the back, and something or someone blocks the signal receiver.

This little remote is amazing. Bought it to go with our Roku Premiere and it works amazingly well right out of the package. The paper that came with the remote said that it didn’t work with our model, despite the ad on 鶹 stating it did, so we had a bit of a moment when we took it out of the bag but tried it anyways. Works great, no pairing needed.
When my remote broke for my Premier+, I thought I was out of luck. Buyer beware, Roku offers zero support for their hardware in Canada. You can order replacement remotes if you are in the USA, but not if your are from Canada, and they won't ship to you either. Thankfully, I found this little guy on 鶹 for a great price. It worked immediately. It's an IR remote, not wifi like the original OEM remote was, so you need to be relatively close to the Roku and be pointing directly at it. The build quality is a little cheap, button press is less sure/tactile than the branded remote, but it works fine otherwise, and that's all I need. For under twenty bucks, this saved me having to toss out my Roku.

I read several reviews which stated these do not work or only work from very short distances and aren't like an OEM Roku remote. The simple fact is they are not, Roku remotes in many cases use WiFi or Bluetooth frequencies and have a pairing button under the battery door (some not all). These remotes are RF only using infrared (old school simplicity) and also unlike the OEM units use 2 AAA batteries not 2 AA batteries so they are smaller in size and weight. The short version, I plopped in a couple of AAA batteries, pointed it at my Roku 4 and the TV and Roku powered up to the main screen. FYI if you don't have your Roku unit programmed to turn on your TV via the HDMI cable, you should, makes like so much easier than having to turn on the TV then find the Roku remote. Still need the 2nd remote for the TV volume but if you don't change it too often what does it matter.
Onto the devices, construction is the same as any OEM unit, they are not flimsy, they are fine, maybe a 10cent part where OEM might have used 15cent parts but honestly for the price and the fact that I can get 4 of these for the price of 1 Roku remote, worth every penny.
These have 6 buttons on the top menu and no voice search button, something I never used so no issue there. These don't have volume buttons either, that's a feature of a connected remote like the OEM, if you want then then spend the 29 dollars for the OEM units from Roku and don't bother reading any more of this review because these units are not for you.
The reports that these units only work at 3 or 4 feet, greatly exaggerated and disproved, again these are RF remotes you need to point them at the unit but I was 15 feet away from my TV and they worked perfectly. Each of the pre-programmed buttons worked flawlessly, I don't have a couple of the apps but the ones that I use all came right up so programming was fine. I didn't find that I needed to push extra hard, I didn't find that I had to get up close and personal, I knew going in that I wasn't going to need to pair the unit via pairing button and wasn't going to expect headphones on the remote because it's a simple remote.
If you have a lower end Roku unit (non IR remote) then this will be plug & play.

This remote works perfectly with my ROKU 2 box, Model 4210X2. It worked immediately after I installed a pair of batteries. It did NOT require any programming or syncing with the TV. All functions (that I use) including Play, Pause, Fast-Forward, Review, Home, the Exit Arrow, the Netflix Button and the 鶹 (Prime) Button worked correctly from the start. I experienced no delays or problems. This is a perfect replacement remote for the ROKU 2 box.

El control sirve de inmediato con sólo ponerle las pilas. Lamentablemente el único botón de acceso rápido que funciona es el de netflix. Ni siquiera trae el básico de YouTube como el control original. El control se siente un poco más aguado y liviano que el original de roku.
El envió se hace solo en un sobre con relleno de burbujas no viene en caja ni nada así que no muy protegido que digamos. Usa 2 pilas AAA.
