    This set of bolt extractors feels nice and heavy duty. The case is very sturdy and the extractors feel well made. As with any tool you have to use them for the right job with proper technique and common sense. These make removing damaged or broken screws, bolts and other fasteners much easier.

    If you're removing a broken bolt you'll need to grind it flush if possible. Find an appropriately sized extractor and drill a hole with the corresponding drill size. The extractors are conveniently marked with the correct drill size so you know what size hole they need to work properly. That's a very cool bonus. There's no chart to damage or lose.

    Next, center punch and carefully drill an appropriately sized hole in the center of the fastener. Then carefuly place the extactor in the hole and turn counterclockwise with a wrench or socket. You can evenly carefully use an impact wrench in some scenarios. Like any tool, you need to use your own judgement and common sense. The multiple splines will dig into the damaged fastener and bite into the edges of the hole you've drilled. With a skill, patience and a little luck these extractors will back out rusted, broken or damaged fasteners.

    These work very fell and can be used for a variety of situations. Rounded or damaged nuts, Damaged recessed drain plugs, broken bolts or screws, broken studs and more.

    Think this kit is a good value. These are very similar to design and quality of a set sold by a popular tool store, They're $30 to $40 more there. If you were to buy a similar size set from a major tool truck you'd pay 3 to 5 times the price of this set. This is one of those tools you hope you don't need but when the need arises you're thankful you have it. If this gets you out of a bind even once, it pays for itself.

    The extractors feel like good quality. You'll need a 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8" and 1" wrench, socket etc. to cover the all of the extractors in the set.

    The plastic blow molded case feels well built and features a strong slide latch that is sure to hold things closed for years to come. It does a great job of keeping things securely organized.

    In conclusion this is a solid well built bolt and screw extractor set with sizes to cover nearly and situation most do it yourself mechanics or home owners are going to encounter. So far I'm very pleased.

    Worked very well on an 8mm sheared bolt.

    Presentation: come in a classic red blow moulded case which is sturdy and well organised inside.

    Quality: very good. I'll try and get a picture of the used extractor but it's not very worn. They appear to made of d good material. I would question if they're for every day professional use but they're great for me in the garage for occasional use. The markings on the tools are often an indicator of quality and these are super clear, laser marked and even tell you which size drill to use.

    Value: very good for a comprehensive set.

    This is a great set! The case it came in is hard and heavy duty, the locking feature is great and secures it well. Feel like heavy duty extractors, fit well in my ratchet and impact, and while I haven't had an opportunity to use them yet, I know I will before too long and they're come in very handy and be a lifesaver for me!

    Tools appear well made and finished, has the recomended drill size engraved on each one, can't see that the larger bits will get much use but they go down to quite a small size which is useful. Better design than the long removers that are used in a tap holder and less likely to break. Tools come in the usual blow moulded case but it appears sturdy and all of the bits are held securely so they don't fall out when opened.
