Although I liked the concept and design it is unusable to me. The gap for the silicone grip is only about 3 or 4/32" wide. So if the sound hole is bare or just has a decal this will probably fit. But if you have a decorative sound hole (e.g. Ovation guitar) this won't fit as the sound hole decoration is much thicker. There is no dimensional information regarding compatible guitar soundboard thicknesses given in the description or specifications for this product.
UPDATE: after 3 hours the hygrometer needle hasn't moved off 50% humidity yet 3 other hygrometers in the house say 32%!! The unit holds water - that's all it does!
