while this unit costs a lot more than the others..... it is so worth the extra. cleans cherries so easy and without destroying the shape of them. Well worth the money.
This is an amazing gadget. I bought one for myself and went back and bought another one for my parents who are seniors. Whether it’s munching on cherries or baking with them it is really helpful.
5.0 out of 5 starsAs expected, however, not as hoped

I think I had a slightly idealistic view of how much easier this would make pitting cherries. Was making a black forest ghetto and it slightly expedited the process but was still time-consuming.
We just finished processing the cherries from our tree. The unit works great to remove the pit. This is a great value for the money. We pitted and froze about 3 gallons of cherries. It is not the fastest nor the slowest but for once a year I wouldn't waste my money on anything more. It requires moderate pressure to pit all 6 cherries so if you have problems with your hands, arthritis or something, you may want one that does less at a time...but nobody says you have to fill all 6 spots so it does provide some flexibility depending on the user.
