Durable Cast Iron Griddle for Even Heat
This OG951 Griddle Plate is an absolutely solid upgrade for Ninja OG800 and OG900 series grills. I couldn't believe the weight of it when I took it out of the box; compared to the plate that came with my unit, its cast iron construction is significantly better, providing fantastic heat retention and even cooking. As others have mentioned, it is not completely non-stick, however, with proper care it performs wonderfully for a variety of foods. The food-grade ceramic coating seems durable, and the overall quality of this flat top grill pan replacement is great. It's a highly recommended accessory for anyone looking to enhance their Ninja grill's versatility.

This did not fit my Woodfire XL Pro Connect. The physical griddle fits, but the lid does not fully seal. The metal rim on the lid contacts this griddle side walls. With the OEM surface, the metal rim does not touch as it seals with the rubber gasket.

This means that this is no good for smoking, as the smoke will leak. For any other use, it should be 'good enough', like a traditional BBQ where air also exhausts through the sides. Though being an apartment dweller, I've never actually had a proper BBQ. Do modern ones seal?
Regardless, this can be a major issue. This is a Woodfire after all, the purpose is also smoking! With a leaky seal, its really detrimental.
However, as a traditional BBQ, its 'fine'. I do wonder about the ceramic coating, over time, the metal on coating is likely more damaging than the rubber gasket.
The more I investigated, the reason is the grease drip spout. The OEM Ninja spout is slim and small, this one is almost triple the size, and obviously prevents the plate from slotting in correctly. It can't fit further outwards to complete the seal due to the spout pushing it further inwards. I'm not sure if the back metal rim closes properly either!
In regards to the grill, outside of smoking, I love the dual use, grill and flat top. I prefer the flat top but the other side is good for grill marks, but I'm more of a complete sear versus grill sear marks.
Quality and fit is fine. it's heavy and feels well made, other than the fitment.
I have contacted the seller (or manufacturer?) to report and see if this was on purpose.
