I use it for general farm chores as well as in the garden. I use it to cut silage wrap and it does as well as any butcher's knife. Bailing twine, rope, tarps. In the garden I've trimmed/pruned up to grape vines for toughness. Perfectly satisfied. I've gone through a knife every two years, either because they failed, or I lost them somewhere. This one is a keeper.
As someone who collects high end knives and uses them regularly I bought this for my girlfriend who is a florist with not the highest of expectations for the price. Blade steel I assume is not good, didnt come the sharpest but for 15 dollars this thing is incredible, centered blade solid stable slipjoint with a halfway lock up (blade naturally stops at 90 degrees to prevent injury in the case of accidental closing) not able to take apart but has aesthetically pleasing brass spacers and a full flat grind, all in all felt I had to review and say it great may need a sharpening more often than a more qualitative blade steel but at the price is unreal fit and finish
The knife is exactly as pictured. Comes simply packaged. The blade is sharp and it is easy to fold and unfold - although you do have to be mindful of keeping your fingers out of the way of the blade when folding.
Locks hard when halfway open, Non lacquered handle so it won't slip out of your hand easily. Might wanna get a small amount of oil, Because the slip joint is kinda stiff. But all around great knife for the price
* edit * You will 100% need oil if you get this knife. I just tried opening and closing it a bunch of times to see if it would get better. And now it requires a dangerous amount of force to close.
Arrivé très tranchant . Belle pièce . Parfait pour récolter les piments . Solide et abordable . Aussi s arrête mi chemin pour ne pas couper les doigts . Bravo !
