How long will the battery last? Can the battery be replaced?

The product quality has improved. and the battery life has been extended to about 6 months. You could replace 3 AA batteries for it.
Does it work with 5G Wi-Fi, and will there be issues with losing connections?

No, it only supports 2.4G Wi-Fi networks. The product has been upgraded, and it won't drop the connection.
How to set the alert range?

Please be within the Bluetooth range, tap the device on the Govee Home app >>> tap the settings icon on the top right of the graph page >>> set the alert range.
Is the thermometer bound to a single phone/app? Can it be shared with family?

It can be shared with family. Please connect the wifi temperature sensor to 1 Govee account, then log in with the same Govee account on multiple phones.
Can this wifi thermometer be used in the fridge? Or can it be used outdoors?

Don't use the thermometer outdoors, in a fridge, or in an environment with a low temperature or high humidity (over 80% when water is in a condensation state).
