Returning only because it doesn’t match the vibe I’m going for in my living room. At night it doesn’t matter cos it’s all pretty when it’s lit, but in the day, the lamp itself looks out of place in my modern farmhouse living room. Returning this for a more suitable floor lamp.

It definitely produces beautiful lights and is soooo easy to assemble. I still highly recommend even if it isn’t exactly what I need in my living room.

I'm a big fan of Hue lights. They're incredibly versatile and work really well. The downside is they're super expensive. For more fun things I have incorporated some WiZ and Govee lights to my home as they are much cheaper and work well enough for my needs. When I saw this, I knew I had to try it.

The packaging was solid. Taking it out of the box you could feel it has some weight to it and isn't just cheap plastic, at least not the base or the pole. It assembled easily enough and paring it with the app was not a problem. All good so far.

After getting it up and running, I ran through the preset scenes to get an idea of what it could do. There's an abundance of scenes and you can modify to create your own, but it all feels pretty much the same. The waves are neat, but not very diverse. The side light is where things really change up, but I find that more distracting than anything, especially if it's moving fast. It always catches my eye in an annoying way. My lamp is up against a wall in a fairly small room, but it doesn't cast the whole way across the ceiling, which is also disappointing. The angle isn't really enough to get as much distance as you might hope.

As an actual lamp, it's plenty bright on the bottom light. The base is stable and it would take some effort to knock it over. However, it isn't the greatest looking thing, especially if you have more traditional decor. The top is a bit cheap looking. Not terrible, but not great.

In short, it's fun, but at full price probably not worth it unless you're really into Govee and this effect. It does work nicely with the six button remote, so I've preset some of the more diverse settings so I don't need to always use the app. My wife likes it way more than I do, so I have no problems keeping it. Govee support also fixed a bug within days of me reporting it, so that's pretty cool. I do like Govee products, but I really was hoping for more on this one.

Really cool and unique floor lamp. Easy assembly, easy to link to the app. There are three light sections, the top, the side ring, and the bottom. You can run the top (the moving lights that project onto the ceiling) plus the side lights (the accent ring around the sides) at the same time, or you can run the side lights plus the bottom, downward-facing white light at the same time. At this time you can't run all three at the same time (I wish you could), not sure if they'll change that in the future or not.

Overall pleased with the options the light gives you. I have it linked to SmartThings and can set it to turn on at sunset and turn off at a specific time in the evening. Although, I'm using the Govee app to control the individual colors, there's much better control in there to set it just how you want it, or to use pre-defined scenes.

Time will tell if the rotating top light that projects onto the ceiling holds up. I'm probably jaded as I've had a few (non-Govee) lights that utilize a motor fail, but that doesn't mean this one will. Would definitely buy again.
