Update January 2024: I now have two separate systems, one installed at our seniors club plus the original at home, both logged on to wifi. And a fancy outdoor Govee string light. I can monitor temperatures while traveling, both at the club and at home. The second Govee thermometer came with six sensors and I added three of them to the three already at home on the old receiver for a total of six sensors plus the light string. The remaining three sensors are installed at the club with the new receiver. The documents with the new system said the receiver could handle 10 devices. I wonder if this is due to the firmware update. So both the old receiver and the new receiver can handle 10 devices as of January, 2024. On the Govee app I see all 10 devices (7 at home, 3 at club) although the uploaded image is only showing eight.
Previous review of April 2023: A very dependable system.
A month ago I set this up on our wifi and installed the sensors in the greenhouse. The sensors have never lost contact with the receiver and that’s great because it’s been a problem with another brand. The app is great because it’s easy to use, As expected, I can travel and check greenhouse conditions from afar. The receiver has never lost the wifi connection despite power outages and wifi reboots. The temperature/humidity alarms are easy to set up. I just discovered a new feature writing this review- I can squeeze the timeline to the date range I want as shown in the second image. The Govee wifi thermometer has made it easy to monitor greenhouse conditions.
