Just ran 4 batteries very impressed with the quality for a cheap copter. I have 6 that are various sizes. Been flying for years. Works good in low to no wind. For a novice the auto take off and landing is perfect. The auto landing would be used like a panic button if you get into trouble. The batteries are excellent. They have 4 LED lights so you know how much power is in them. Perfect for storage. I would say store when at two lights on. Get the one that has 3 batteries, cheaper than buying extras later. The fact that the battery pushes in means the copter is always balanced, hobby copters random positioning affects flight. Not allot of forward power but if you start running loops can build up some good speed to counteract the wind. It looks exactly like a brand named copter called a "Rage" which our local hobby shops carry for parts, if you need them. Was around $60 cheaper than my local hobby store, and got extra batteries. The left stick on the controller for power and rear tail rotor stays in the middle, unlike hobby store high end copters. This is good because you can set the height of the copter when flying unlike other copter. I really like this thing as you can probably sense. Try one and have fun, price, can't beat it!!!!!

Several things you need to know when buying this specific model. First, this sale is labelled "GoolRC" brand. It is actually the "RC ERA" brand (shown in pictures in orange). So that is incorrect, but maybe there's no difference. Several companies seem to be selling these models with different badging and they are not quite the same. For example, the better "Eachine" brand model has a camera on its belly (see the gray one in the photos) to aid in lateral positioning hold over the ground so it's not as easy for a breeze to push it away. This one has an empty hole and no camera with a quality check chrome sticker covering the hole (which I removed thinking it was covering the camera... only to discover it was just covering the empty hole). The batteries, however, on the Eachine and this "RC Era" one seemed compatible when I tested them. The radio, however, is not. The different branded radios will not bind to their opposite brand. So keep this in mind when buying these helos. I was disappointed that they obviously are copies of each other but this version omits a key main feature of the Eachine brand and actually cost me more money (I bought this one solely because I wanted the orange colour for better visibility and didn't want to go through the hassle of painting my other one). Other than that, this one seems to fly as advertised. Because of the removed camera and its workings, this orange model weighs 2 grams less than the gray one at 74 grams without the battery. NOTE! If you are a beginner, do not fly in any wind at all or you will quickly lose control. Practice outdoors in a wide open space when there is ZERO wind over short-mowed lawn to cushion possible crashes. Stay well away from any obstacles until you become proficient in flying which will take many tries. If you have the chance to buy the Eachine brand with the belly camera, that one is a better choice. Look for video reviews of the Eachine E-120 showing how the model flies.
